I did save the best for last.
These are a few of my favourite Arabian perfume oils.
from left to right: rakheem, amber oud, kashka
rakheem- this is the sweetest perfume I own. I smell bananas, cherries, strawberries and all sorts of fruits. absolutely gorgeous!
amber oud- this is a moderately strong perfume oil, one of my favourites.  I’m guessing the main notes are amber and oud as the name suggests. The dry down is quite soft and powdery which i really like.
Kashka- This perfume is so damn strong!! I’ve had it for months and the original box it came in still smells strongly of perfume! not one of my favourite scents however this is very exotic and not for everyone in my opinion.

from left to right: Avon Rare Gold, Beyonce Heat, Victoria’s secret angel (gold)
All mediocre perfumes….nothing remotely unique but still nice, day time fragrances.
Avon Rare Gold- Very fruity, has a dominant orange/citrusy note. can be overpowering at first. Not sure if I would purchase. This one was a gift.
Beyonce Heat- Soft, floral, slightly fruity scent. Nothing unique, moderate longevity, nice for day to day wear.
Victoria’s secret angel (gold)- this was a present from New York. hmm.haven’t used it enough to be able to give a valid opinion but so far i like it. soft, slightly floral, sweet. Does not last long at all!

these two fragrances are absolutely gorgeous. Definitely in my top 5 favourite fragrances! they’ve both very long lasting.

I can’t describe the scent….but i can say they’re both unique in their own way.

I like Lady Million slightly more than Alien because it has a very familiar scent that somehow reminds me of my childhood.

Definitely worth trying!

TOP: Vanderbilt- Gloria Vanderbilt 30ml eau de toilette and body spray.

This was a Christmas present last year from my mum. I can’t say its a scent that I’d normally wear, but its a nice slightly sweet smelling fragrance.

BOTTOM: Rasheeqa by Swiss Arabian

I basically bought this for the bottle….and was DISAPPOINTED! I don’t even know what I expected but it is a hot, spicy blend of…stuff! I can also smell cinnamon which is probably why I hate it, on my body it doesn’t smell right, however on my sister its beautiful.

wouldn’t buy this again!

(top left) I bought the 2 Revlon Charlie perfumes cheap from Superdrug a few months ago. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Both are very weak eau de toilettes. Nothing special. The don’t last very long and I wouldn’t re-purchase.

The rubbing alcohol scent in ‘Black’ completely overpowers the soft floral notes. ‘Chic’ is more floral, but still …all I can smell is mostly alcohol.

(top right)

I got these perfumes from M&S last christmas.

Pros: very strong for eau de toilettes. They genuinely smell like the flowers…especially rose and lavender. The bottles are nice, simple and classy.

Cons: Magnolia makes me want to puke! not my scent. Lavender is gorgeous…but reminds me of old ladies. I wouldn’t wear it on me so i use it occasionally as a room spray.

Rose is absolutely beautiful. It’s like a much stronger version of rosewater.

seeing as I’m bed bound for the next few hours, I thought i’d do a few post on my current perfume collection. I don’t have a lot because i tend to want to use up what i’ve got before getting more
I store all my perfume in this green african print box which I made out of an old shoe box. It has a lid (which I did a different DIY blog post about a while ago..just scroll back)
this way my perfumes can be kept in a cool, dark place. Also, i like that they’re all in one place. I will be posting about the main perfumes in groups because its too much work to do individually
There are also a couple of new additions that I will talk about but I haven’t got a picture as of yet. Maybe in the future xx

Anonymous asked: what type of hair do you use for your crochet braids and how do you put them in ?

Crochet braids work best with curly braiding hair. I’ve tried different brands over the years, but the best by far is model model water wave braiding hair (same as in the videos)

with regards to how to install crochet braids, here are the videos I learned from

you can search lots of other crochet braid tutorials on youtube. hope this helps.
